Self Reflection

I used to think that Social Engagement really made me stressed out.Firstly.the preparations need to be done in a nick of time as we have to prepare for our first presentations.It means that everything must be confirmed before the day of the presentation. This is hard as we have to search a suitable place and deal with them to get approval for our project.We have been rejected by some of the places that we thought about, but in the end, we managed to hold our volunteering project at Rumah Tumpangan Anak Yatim dan Miskin ( collaboration with SPE ) and Rumah Anak Kesayanganku.

Then, another inconvenient happens as the date for our project is during our mid-sem break.I am so disappointed as my holiday will be shorter.However, all these thoughts were gone after I did this project with my groupmates.My time was well spent with the kids.I learn to appreciate my life more after I met those kids.

‘We are often caught up in our destination that we forget to appreciate the journey, especially the goodness of the people we meet on the way.Appreciation is a wonderful feeling,don’t overlook it.’

Listened to their stories made me touch a bit.They come from a poor family, they lost their parents since they were small,but those things did not stop them from being such good person.They appreciate us as they treat us warmly like we are their own brothers and sisters.All our efforts are finally paid off after seeing their smiles.

As conclusions, big thanks to my team as they always give very good cooperations in this project. We always have our support towards each other while completing our project successfully.This project has given me a new experience that  I have never felt before.Social Engagement project checked !
